This is an original, 1941 dated US handcart. It was fully restored before I bought it and is in excellent condition. This is the 81mm Mortar model of the M3a4 handcart as stated on the brass data plates. It seems exactly the same as the M3a4 I used to have though.
Whoever did the restoration on it did an excellent job. The paint is still good. The tires are NOS Firestone’s. They still have the stock number printed on the tread sections and the rubber injection nubs on them. The data plates are all brass. It has 2 original drag handles that are in excellent condition. The canvas cover is a reproduction by Beechwood Canvas.
The draw bar and hand are original and excellent. The handles are still securely attached to the union and the plug joiner is original and still attached by the chain. All 4 of the corner tie down points are present and undamaged. The trailer is not deformed in any way and remains as straight as the day it was made.
