  • Here is an original CH-29 Accessory Chest for the WWII Signal Corps SCR-179 Horse/Mule pack radio set. It was made by the J. Beeber Co. of New York under Signal Corps Order No. 24346-PHILA-45-63 Serial No.39.. This chest is meant to hold most of the accessories for the set including the GN-37 hand crank generator, spare tubes, spare batteries, chest legs, antenna guy assembly & reel, IN-85 antenna insulator, tools, microphones & headset. This chest is very similar to the CH-39 chest that's used with the SCR-178 with the only difference being that the CH-29 has additional external hardware so it can be mounted to the pack animal frame. This chest is the companion to the CH-28/38 operating chest that holds the BC-186, BC-187, BC-188 & BX-4 Battery Box. The CH-29 is a scarce chest to find in any condition. This one was found in NOS condition in its original wooden crate. It does have some minor scratches/scrapes from having been sitting & moved around for over 60 years.

  • For sale is a rare post Civil War pack saddle used to carry a cannon tube. This was a Bannerman's item, and I picked it up in Petersburg VA. The top of this saddle is in good condition, leather is fairly supple and army green paint still looks good overall. One strap on the front of the saddle is broken. The straps are marked "Rock Island Arsenal 1907 TCC". There is some bug damage on 1/2 of the underside padding (see photo).
